Danielle AlbertiI am a recent graduate of the University of Colorado, with degrees in journalism and anthropology and a minor in Italian studies.
In college,I devoted all of my free time to exploring every corner of journalism. I tried sports writing at an internship at Inside Lacrosse Magazine. I did education reporting and copy editing at the Silver & Gold Record. I even wrote about western culture and history for American Cowboy Magazine. But my real opportunity for experimentation came with my university's student newspaper, the CU Independent. In my time there,I was a reporter,a photographer,a copy editor, opinion editor, managing photo editor and,ultimately,editor-in-chief.
Upon graduating,I accepted a Dow Jones News Fund internship with the International Center for Journalists in Washington, where I did multimedia work as a communications intern.
As in college,I still devote most of my free time to journalism. I love exploring Washington with a camera, and I'm always trying to come up with ideas for solo projects. I'm also committed to keeping up with Web culture and development, and I find that designing a website is much more soothing to me than long walks on the beach.
