Inauguration Day 2013 was her first experience with American politics.
“As a child back home I would always climb trees,to get apples or something else,” Chen said. “It’s clearer up there then down here.”
Her good view didn’t last long. Police made her climb down.
Along with two friends,Chen,23,moved from Xian,China,to Washington two weeks ago to pursue graduate degrees in finance from Georgetown University.
“I like President Obama,” Chen said. “He has a good range of knowledge,and I like wise people.”
Chen plans to spend the next two years in Washington and hopes to travel around the rest of the United States during her stay.
