Christina Stephens - Summer 2001

Christina Stephens is a senior in print journalism from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is excited about working in Washington D.C. and hopes to return to the city after graduation. Christina is still deciding if she wants to tackle traditional news reporting after graduation or move into the realm of layout and design. She does know, however, that she wants to work in journalism for a daily newspaper or wire service. Christina brings with her two and a half years of reporting experience from LSU's daily student newspaper, "The Reveille," where she's served in a variety of positions ranging from staff writer to the chief staff writer, from managing editor and to entertainment editor. In the fall, Christina will take over the newspaper's opinion desk. Christina also works for the suburban desk of Baton Rouge's daily newspaper, "The Advocate," where she covers city councils and school boards in the parishes surrounding Baton Rouge.
