Bridget Jefferys - 2003 Hampton University Short Course

Bridget Jefferys is a 19-year old rising junior at Hampton University, majoring in print journalism with a minor in business management. She has been actively involved in extra-curricular activities including being a photographer for Hamptonian, and a staff writer for the Hampton Script, and tutoring children.

Bridget was born and raised in Raleigh, N.C., along with two brothers. Since she was a child, she knew that she always liked to write, but never imagined of one day becoming a reporter. She began writing for her high school newspaper, Cat Talk, her senior year, as well as contributing stories for the The Millbrook Letter, a PTSA newsletter that was sent to the homes of parents, student, and faculty, and Bridges, a quarterly newsletter produced by The Lessons Of Vietnam class, that was sent to the homes of local Vietnam veterans.

Bridget wants to continue on to graduate school to become an entertainment lawyer, establish a management firm for sports and entertainment, and eventually write scripts for sitcoms and direct films and music videos.
