The cell phone is to today what the refrigerator was to the 1950s: Everyone has one and everyone needs one.
There's no doubt everyone who watches television has seen some sort of commercial advertising add-ons for cell phones: cameras, phones that play games, devices that connect your phone to your car stereo.
But these innovations are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to new mobile phone technology. Soon, people will be able to check their address books, pay for candy or soda or diagnose illness all with their cell phone. Companies are developing a wide variety of uses for cell phones.
