BOSTON - Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius told delegates to the Democratic National Convention Tuesday evening that the gathering celebrates the party's values and traditions.
And Sebelius celebrated in a personal way.
She grew up in Cincinnati where her father, John Griffin, was elected to Congress and served as governor. Now, 54, Sebelius is the first daughter of a governor in U.S. history to be elected to the same position.
"The spirit of service and sacrifice we see in John Kerry is something I see in the people of Ohio, where I was raised, and the people of Kansas, whom I proudly serve as governor," Sebelius said
