The post-graduate, multimedia fellow manages and maintains the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire’s website. He or she creates multimedia projects for the website, works with undergraduate interns to develop multimedia projects and provides leadership to a team that produces news stories and projects.
Qualified applicants must have professional-level expertise in HTML, content management systems and CSS. If you do not have these skills, this isn’t the fellowship for you.
Applicants must also have high-level skills in reporting and writing, shooting photos and video, using video and DSLR cameras and editing video.
Applicants must have either a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
This one-year, post-graduate, multimedia fellowship will begin in late summer 2016 and run through mid-August 2017.
The fellowship includes a $23,136 stipend, plus free housing in a furnished apartment shared with the program’s undergraduate interns. The fellowship does not include benefits and will not result in a job. You must be a U.S. citizen, hold a green card or have a work permit under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program to apply for this fellowship.
Because the Semester in Washington program is going on hiatus after the spring program, we won’t be picking a new post-grad fellow in the spring. Watch for updates on the foundation’s Facebook page or at scripps.com/foundation.
