The post-graduate, multimedia fellow manages and maintains the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire’s website. He or she creates multimedia projects for our website, works with undergraduate interns to develop multimedia projects and provides leadership to a team that produces news stories and projects.
Qualified applicants must have professional-level expertise in HTML, content management systems and CSS. If you do not have these skills, this isn’t the fellowship for you.
Applicants must also have high-level skills in reporting and writing, shooting photos and video using a DSLR camera and editing video.
Applicants must have either a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
This one-year, post-graduate, multimedia fellowship will begin in late summer 2014 and run through mid-August 2015.
The fellowship includes a $22,155 stipend, plus free housing in a furnished apartment shared with the program’s undergraduate interns. The fellowship does not include benefits and will not result in a job. You must be a U.S. citizen, hold a green card or have a work permit under the Deferred Action program to apply for this fellowship.
The application form for 2015-16 fellowship will be posted in January.
Read the application form carefully and gather the information you need before you start filling the form out. Long periods of inactivity or submitting the form without answering all of the questions marked with an asterisk will result in the form not being submitted. If you have questions about the form or the fellowship, we’re happy to answer questions during regular business hours before the April 1 deadline. We can’t help you after the deadline if you are unsuccessful in submitting your application. You will receive an automated confirmation email within 24 hours after we receive your form.
