The East Room sparkles with the scarlets, crimsons and fuchsias that comprise this year's White House holiday theme, "Deck the Halls and Welcome All." Illustrations from the holiday tour book, left, sit on easels near one of the 17 Christmas trees. Miniature snow-laden fir trees form a line down the red polka-dotted table cloth.
